Translation, transcultural adaptation, and validation of the Serbian version of the PSS-QoL questionnaire: A pilot research

Background/Aim. Assessment of health-related quality life is fundamental for a better understanding the disease?s effect on different aspects patients? daily functioning and treatment modalities efficacy. Primary Sj?gren's Syndrome Quality Life Questionnaire (PSS-QoL) first disease-specific instrument evaluating in patients with primary Sj?gren syndrome. The aim this study was to formally translate PSS-QoL questionnaire from English Serbian, assess its psychometric properties, validate it use Serbian population. Methods. research designed as pilot included 30 participants. Internal consistency determined by calculating Cronbach?s alpha coefficient. construct validity estimated correlation overall result EuroQoL-5D, EULAR SS Patients Reported Index, Oral Health Impact Profile-14, Emotion Regulation scores. Results. There were 29 (96.7%) female participants one (3.3%) male participant research. average (? SD) score 44.63 ? 12.901 at baseline 41.70 12.075 follow-up. value version 0.922. test-retest intraclass coefficient 0.981 (95% CI: 0.436-0.996). Analysis revealed statistically significant moderate strong between scores EuroQol-5D (rs = -0.696), Index 0.883), Profile-14 0.809). Conclusion. adaptation can be used evaluate syndrome both academic clinical practice novel outcome measure.
